January 2025
Six weeks, they have flown by. So much done! The school painted inside and out. Renovations carried out where needed. All broken windows have been replaced and the classroom doors have been reset so that they can open and close again. Had tables and chairs made again, this time for the other classes of the primary school and the first classes of Junior High School. And notebooks and pens have been distributed again, so the students can continue with their school work.
It's goodbye again to my friends in Ghana, see you soon.
Summer 2024
Education for each child
FutureMakers has provided a cool library with 450 books. Right now, 2 out of the 4 buildings have electricity. The foundation also gave the primary school 8 desks and chairs, so the kids have a nice place to learn. Plus, they handed out school uniforms, shoes, bags, notebooks, pencils, and math stuff for the junior high students. On top of that, they brought in five laptops and a projector for everyone in the community to use.
Summer 2023
Basic needs
In 2023, we kicked off our first big project to make the local school a better place. We put in water and electricity, and fixed up the toilets so the kids have a clean, comfy spot. We also made little stools just for the preschoolers, so they don’t have to drag their own from home and can join in all the activities easily. All these upgrades show how much we care about giving the kids a safe and welcoming place to learn.
